Super lightweight at 12.5 lbs. the Classic is the traditional saddle of choice for trail riders concerned with weight, comfort and security.

Each Classic Saddles is  hand built to order using our conformal foam to help fit your horse.  The flat seat allows you to adjust your body position as terrain or time demands.   The free swinging stirrups will help keep the ache out of your joints,  and the light weight will be appreciated, especially at journeys end.

The gullet height is generous and can accommodate those tall withered horses.  By pulling the saddle pad deep up into the gullet, a cooling channel is created along the horses spine.

The Classic Saddle comes standard in black leather with a sheepskin underside.  Standard features include a seat padded with shock absorbing foam, 1” breast collar d-rings, footman loops centered on the front of the pommel and two symmetrically placed on the rear of the cantle back, and a pair of d-rings at the base of the cantle corners.

The Stonewall Classic Saddle

The Stonewall Classic Saddle has a deep seat and provides a secure and comfortable trail saddle proven over 30 years of time and trail.

Cinch location is infinitely adjustable with Y-type rigging system

ADJUSTABLE RIGGING
By lifting the fenders and knee flaps the adjustable Y-type rigging on the saddle is exposed.  Not every horse is built the same and it is sometimes is a real benefit to be able to move the cinch location fore or aft.  The upper arms of the Y-type rigging can be lengthened or shortened to swing the cinch as needed to best suit a particular horse.   Shown, the rigging is in what is called a centerfire position and roughly in line with the stirrup hangers and the low point of the back.

“I tend to like the centerfire position,” says Jackie Fenaroli “because it pulls both the front and back of the saddle down evenly onto the horses back, and helps eliminate saddle wagging.”
