Got the saddle...  I rode it yesterday.  Very Impressive.  An engineering feat.  Built strong.
Riding the saddle was very secure mounting, and up n down steep inclines.  Astonishing that I could really, actually FEEL the horse through the saddle.  In over 50 years of riding I cannot ever remember anything like this.
...
JUST DID ANOTHER 100 miles on two different horses n both backs, and my sitter was great!"
...
I am continually amazed at the Livinging Bar Saddle fit on three different horses of different build and condition. As of now I do not need any mapping. Thank U for a Great Saddle!

I love my new Stonewall Living Bar Endurance Saddle so much I am ordering a second one for my other Rockies.
I really like how comfortable & secure I feel in this saddle & I love how amazingly well it fits my short backed, barrel shaped Rocky Mountain horses. It fits them better than any other saddle I've tried, it really frees up their shoulder allowing them to get into their nice smooth gait. This saddle even fits my husband and his 16 H A-framed TWH!
I am amazed at how well this saddle stays put going up and down steep hills... no more having to dismount several times during my ride to re-position my saddle do to it slipping.
I have no hesitation in recommending this saddle to others!

Thank you Jackie & Don Fenaroli for designing a saddle that not only meets, but exceeds the needs of both horse and rider!

This saddle is a breakthrough. From the video, the theory of perfect fit was believable. And perfect fit is what happens. For my mule, with no withers: a perfect, perfect fit, without a hair of daylight anywhere, and no soreness after a long ride. The saddle sits where I put it, using only a crupper to keep it from sliding forward. For my own butt, nothing but delight. I stay in place, I can feel her back muscles flex as she walks or gaits, and we are a single unit. I almost never need to pick up the reins on a trail ride -- certainly not at jumps or stream or bridge crossings. I am secure and comfortable.

My mule is 900 pounds of free enterprise, and particularly free with this grand saddle.

Just wanted to share what I told my friends about my new saddle.
Did 5 miles on my very fresh naughty gelding, lots of bucks, and am loving the saddle.  Super secure! No knee pain, seat is comfy, and once my gelding settled in and worked,  he moved great and sweat pattern was perfect.
So far so good!
I usually ride in a 16 inch, but did adjust to 16.5 as it rode a bit small? Love the air flow I get along spine thru pommel clearance.  Haven't done any great distance yet, but I think it will pass that test with fly colors. Not an endurance rider, but a casual trail rider doing varied distances, I feel confident that others with same background will love this saddle.

YEEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that says it all, but if you want details, keep reading....
Yesterday I used the Cavallo pad with nothing else and was able to get on Echo from the ground with just a small amount of slippage (with a reasonably tight cinch- I was still able to slip a couple of fingers between it and the horse). We then went on a 3 1/2 hour ride with several steep down hills and he was pretty good, with just a few half hearted protests. Got a very good sweat pattern and no soreness that I could detect on his back after the ride……………..
Needless to say, I am thrilled and jumping up and down, and you are NOT getting the saddle back!
I can't tell you how grateful I am for ALL your help AND patience with this! I am probably your biggest 'pain in the butt' client, but also your biggest fan!
Even if I had ended up having to return the saddle, you have been amazing to work with. If you ever have any clients that want to talk to someone about Stonewall, I would be more than happy to share my overall great experience with them.
...
I've been a happy Stonewall client for over 35 years, but this saddle exceeds all expectations. The other amazing thing is the superb customer service Jackie provides. My horse is ROUND and it took many emails and experiments to find the right combination of saddle pads to get it perfect. She was patient and super kind answering ALL my questions. My horse and I are very happy!!

Love my new saddle! Tried it out today and felt very comfortable and secure in it. Trotted and loped, went uphill and downhill and loved every minute of it.

Pamina really moved out very well.  Saddle is key because she is carrying weight and going against bigger horses.

We did a  nice mid-pack 50 at Red Rock Rumble Saturday.  Horse was strong throughout. Pulsed-in immediately every vet check and finished with 40/40 CRI.

I was included on the email from Jackie Fenaroli in response to your inquiry about a Living Bar Stonewall. I have been a longtime lover of the Stonewall (my favorite saddle by a longshot), but my high-withered Morgan mare's back was a difficult profile to fit and kept changing as she grew more fit, which meant my custom Stonewall - or any fixed tree for that matter - no longer worked. I was so excited when the Living Bar came out as I was hoping it would mean I could ride in a Stonewall again.
Just this weekend, Jackie was at the Fort Valley ride in Virginia, and she was able to set me up with my new Living Bar Stonewall on Friday afternoon so I could ride in the 50 on Saturday. I LOVED IT! I know the old adage about never trying anything new on ride day, but I was so confident about the Stonewall for me, and then with the Living Bar tree, I was confident about the fit for my horse. Having Jackie there to confirm the fit was an added bonus. I truly cannot say enough good things about this saddle. I was riding a different mare this weekend, and saddle fit had also been a problem for her (totally different issues from my Morgan mare). She moved great all day on some tough trails, and I put the saddle to the test up and over mountains with steep climbs and descents, and then moving out at the trot and canter when we could. My mare felt great all day, pulsed down right away, and finished with all A's. No saddle issues for her, and no saddle issues for me. I couldn't be happier.
Besides the wonderful fit for my horse and for me, here are some other cool features about the saddle:
It is really lightweight. You can easily tighten up the girth while mounted, and then quickly loosen it when you dismount. Lots and lots of D-rings in all the right places for attaching gear. A really cool bungee cord system in the back for snugging up the cantle pack (and a raincoat, etc.) so they don't budge. Lots of options for seat size and stirrup placement, and it is easy to make those changes. And the full fleece cover from my treed Stonewall fits the Living Bar Stonewall beautifully. By the time I had the new saddle all set up for the ride (fleece cover, small pommel pack, a cantle pack, sponge, and a rump rug), you couldn't tell there was a Stonewall saddle under there, but I knew! And I have a feeling my mare appreciated the new Living Bar Stonewall too. I am also excited to now be able to use my longtime favorite saddle on all of my horses without having to change anything other than the saddle pad.

I love my new LB Saddle. If even works for a n 80 yr old......Sooo my 88 yr old husband bought one also. It fits my normal backed horse as well as my barrel shaped horse with low withers. The seat is very comfortable for me. the center fire riggings is awesome. Dick and I are going to cruise on these Living Bar Saddles. Lookout Crockett.

The Living Bars fits!! I have tried this on my Curly Horse and my new Paso Fino and it fits both of them!!! No need for separate saddles. Both horses have short backs but each has different whither shapes. One has a very dominant shoulder which makes him 'lopsided' with most saddles. This saddle fit!! Jackie was very helpful and answered all of my questions about fit and adjust for me too. She also offered a good suggestion to help me be more comfortable in the saddle by trying a sheepskin to help during the break in period. I spent a lot of time playing with finding the right seat size and stirrup position (which was very easy to do) and now I love it.  I have not been able to say that about any other saddle until now. So both me and the horses are happy now. Very secure too for my seat and  stabile on the horse as well. This saddle is an amazing feat of engineering with lots of points to tie stuff onto it. Trail rides are really nice now that I've found the holy grail of saddles!
Thanks Jackie!

Hi Jackie,

These are some pictures of Hootie in her new Stonewall after a good ride today.  Her front end is moving freely, even when going straight down hill.  I've got a Circle Y treeless pad on her that has a built-in, flexible stiffener under the saddle bars that seems to provide a bit of extra protection to the scapula.  The rigging also seems to be working well as shown.  Still tweaking here and there but overall this is the very best saddle fit solution that we've found for our mammoth donkeys in over 20 years!  Looking forward to getting our 2nd Stonewall!

My wife Tara got her saddle 2018 at the Expo and uses the saddle on her 14.1 hd gaited Mustang and 14.3 hd Spotted Saddlehorse. I was allowed to try the saddle on my 16.2 hd TWH shortly after she got the saddle. We both loved the saddle instantly and I was able to purchase one for my self a while ago. We have no regrets at all after many years of trying almost every high end saddle on the market. Our horses love the saddle as well and perform there gaits beautiful. The only modification we did was to remove the fenders and replace them with a fuzzy. This enables you to move your legs free and releaxes the knees. Thank you for this great one of the kind saddle ! We are more then happy !!!
